June 15 update on progress inside and out

The ceilings are all done with knotty pine. The base board floors are repaired and done. Currently the dry wall is getting finished upstairs and down... the fireplace stone has been ordered. In the photo you see Bruce who is our builder...and Leland who is our mason working on the strategic planning of the stone and hearth on the fireplace.  The well, septic, water and road guys come next week to bull doze and do their thing. Progress has been steady!!

Noticable progress has been made!

The log cabin is progressing! Elba has worked furiously with Bruce on making steady progress. The entire ceiling of knotty pine is in and looks fabulous. The front porch is in with beautiful redwood boards and the finishes on the outside of the house are done. The cabin actually is looking brilliant. One of the carpenters took the old nasty trailer away (to call his own - yuck).... and all of the remaining (2) vehicles where professionally cleaned and shampooed (the poor guy who had to that job!). We will be putting these cars on craigslist or ebay shortly. The tractor was also cleaned and looks like new. There has been alot of clearing of trees and brush and the property in general is looking significantly better.  There are a few 'critters' still fighting to keep their tenancy - but they will loose. Flooring and tiles are all ordered and as soon as Bruce returns from his hike on Mt McKinley - construction will resume. Stay tuned new photos are coming! -Susan
